Francheska López Rivera merges interests in art and biology toward a career in molecular animation. She has experience in the 3D animation field through a 3D animation course using Autodesk Maya, during which she produced the two short animation films displayed in the Animations section. Francheska’s additional interests include teaching and science outreach. She is currently a PhD candidate in the Biological and Biomedical Sciences Program at Harvard University, where she studies transcription in budding yeast in the laboratory of Dr. Fred Winston. She obtained a Bachelor of Environmental Design (architecture) and a second concentration in integrative biology from the University of Puerto Rico, Río Piedras Campus.
